Dec 2014 @ Carroll Shelby Museum in LA. Author Art Garner wins MPG Dean Batchelor Best of the Year for his book Black Noon. The
book is a detailed account of the 1964 Indianapolis 500. Both my father and fellow racer Eddie Sachs lost their lives in this race.

Sherry MacDonald, E.J. & Art Garner at dinner. We met Art Garner 3 yrs ago when he contacted us regarding writing a book about the 1964
Indy 500. Both Eddie Sachs and my lost their lives in this race. Well he did write a book – Black Noon - and on this night he took home the
MPG Dean Batchelor Best of the Year award!
